About Us

In 1991 Shawn Boshart, a graduate from SUNY Oswego, was working in Oswego as a licensed funeral director.  During this time working in the funeral industry he was encouraged to fill a need in the community by starting a monument business.  In the early years Shawn dedicated countless hours and effort into learning everything about the industry. Shawn was educated and learned the business from some of the most experienced, respected stone workers in Barre Vermont, the granite capital of the world.  

Oswego County Monuments was started with a focus on compassionate care, high quality work and old world craftsmanship. Over the years the business grew into what it is now, one of the most reputable and respected memorial companies in Central New York.  

Our goal and mission is the same now as it was when we first started, to serve the community by providing the best customer service with the highest quality work and materials available.  We have been entrusted with designing and setting thousands of memorials around Central New York; it would be our honor to meet with you.
